As an Advice Session Worker, you’ll empower individuals facing challenges by providing compassionate guidance and practical solutions. Working flexibly from our Leicester branch, your home and within the community, you’ll be helping people overcome obstacles and create positive change. The main purpose of the role:

  • Engage with clients in a caring and supportive manner, gathering information to fully understand their needs.
  • Provide clear, accurate and impartial advice on a range of issues, including benefits, housing, and debt.
  • Guide clients through complex systems, signposting them to appropriate resources and services.
  • Advocate for clients’ rights, liaising with external agencies on their behalf.

  • You have a natural ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
  • You can explain complex information in a simple and easy-to-understand way.
  • You’re a resourceful problem-solver with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • You’re a detailed record-keeper and able to manage multiple cases while meeting deadlines.
  • You’re a team player committed to collaboration, sharing your knowledge to make a bigger impact and continuous learning.
