We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our Senior Management Team to oversee our volunteering program, Learning and Development strategy, deliver in-house training, and support staff, trustees, and volunteers on our key operational systems. This challenging role reports to our Director and involves managing a varied workload, supporting staff and volunteers at all stages of their development.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong foundation in our advice areas (training provided).
  • Excellent computer literacy (local system training provided).
  • Confidence in meeting performance targets.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for non-judgmental customer service.
  • The ability to work independently, remotely, and in community locations.

Our advice work adheres to strict quality standards and complements the wider services of Citizens Advice Milton Keynes and its subsidiary, Works for Us.

Applicants should have:

  • Experience in training and development roles.
  • Skills in volunteer management, including recruitment, welfare, and disciplinary actions.
  • The ability to draft and implement strategic plans.
  • Strong IT skills to coach others on key systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • At least 12 months’ experience in an advice agency or similar setting is desirable.

We support the professional development of our staff with full and ongoing training. Successful applicants will undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
