North & West Gloucestershire Citizens Advice (N&WGCA) are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our advice team and make a real difference to their community. This is an opportunity for you to join an established charity that has an excellent reputation for the provision of high-quality advice and is a great place to work. You’ll be part of a team committed to working together and with partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes we can for our clients. Are you someone who is currently well versed in advising people or someone fully trained to give general advice and looking for a new opportunity? Do you want to train to be a Housing Specialist?

Role purpose Lately, we’ve noticed a worrying trend:
renters facing unfair practices from landlord, a situation worsened by living costs and a lack of affordable homes. Often, tenants feel trapped, having to decide between standing up for their rights or keeping their home. As a Housing Caseworker, you’ll advice clients, advocate for improvements, swiftly communicate pressing matters to the council and support clients who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We encourage individuals who may not have a background in housing but demonstrate a strong capacity for leaning and a desire to advance in this field to apply. Full training, mentoring and support will be provided to reach these goals.
