There’s never been a more important time to work for Citizens Advice. As food costs rise at an alarming rate and energy bills are sky high, families are struggling to make ends meet and we’re experiencing record-breaking demand for our services. The Energy Advice Programme (EAP) provides energy advice to fuel poor and vulnerable clients who are struggling to pay their bills. Energy advice includes advice on fuel options, tariffs and energy grants, as well advice on energy efficiency, with the aim of reducing their bills. The Carbon Monoxide Advice Project Provides one to one energy and carbon monoxide (CO) advice to vulnerable clients.

We are seeking someone with a ‘can do’ attitude who is passionate about giving an effective service to those most in need and who is not afraid to drive change and improvement. You will need to demonstrate that you are a strong team player, with an eye for detail, and have effective communication, IT and numeracy skills. The post holder will be required to complete the Citizens Advice energy training programme and provides an ideal opportunity for a trainee adviser or assessor to develop their skills in a paid role, or for someone looking to make a difference in their local community. Join us on the frontline of the cost-of-living crisis and play a vital role in helping people find a way forward.

Every local Citizens Advice is a registered charity. Different application procedures are adopted by individual local Citizens Advice. Contact the relevant one as outlined in the information about this role. You should not send an application form to national Citizens Advice.

All local Citizens Advice produce their own annual report, but you can find out more about the Citizens Advice network or download the latest national Citizens Advice annual report.
