We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious adviser to join our Core Team and to support our generalist advice services.

This is a trainee post, with the intent that the post holder will learn, train and be coached by existing Advice and Quality Supervisors (supported by Advice Services Manager and Operations Manager)

  • To undertake and be competent in the range of work areas specified.
  • To provide session management and supervision to Core team advisers; managing work flow across various channels, handling adviser issues or queries and to provide supervisory support and co-ordination of client activities with advisers and the reception team throughout the day.
  • To undertake case checking and provide adviser feedback to improve the quality of advice given to clients
  • To coach advisers on a 121 basis, ensuring a high standard of Case Management is maintained through exploration competence, relevance of advice, case administration and accurate system based recording.
  • To share insights and offer input to business development meetings such as Seniors Meetings, Quality Reviews or Advice and Quality Supervisor team meetings.
  • To support ongoing training through the identification, development and delivery of ‘fit for purpose’, timely and relevant advice based training for Core/Generalist advisers.

We are looking for somebody who is self-motivated, proactive, highly organised, and with a strong attention to detail. Experience in an advice environment and with volunteers would be an advantage, alongside proficient IT skills. The core team work closely together reviewing client needs and supporting a largely volunteer adviser workforce, so the ability to work as part of a team is essential.
