We are seeking someone who is passionate about giving an effective generalist advice service to those most in need. You will thrive in a busy and challenging environment and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude.

The post holder will have previous experience of

  • Providing advice with the confidence and knowledge to work independently,
  • Providing support to foodbank service users in locations across Bristol with matters including but not limited to: Housing, employment, immigration (OISC Level1), debt and benefits
  • Income maximisation and debt advice on priority and non priority debts including managing renegotiating key debts
  • Referring on to specialist teams for complex debt advice. Conducting benefit checks and applying for welfare benefits
  • Progressing welfare benefit claims up to the point of tackling independent appeals – including PIP, ESA and Universal Credit – and supporting Work Capability applications.
