Text and styles

You can type or paste content into the 'Body' field in advice collections or entries.

You can use the options at the top of the Body field to:

• make text into a header - the top level is header 2

• make text bold

• make text into a link

• add a bullet point list or a numbered list

Problems when you paste text

Sometimes when you paste text, a message will appear at the bottom of the Body field that says 'Only bold marks are allowed'. You can't publish changes while the message is there.

The message appears because the pasted text included some formatting that isn't allowed.

The problem is usually a link - Google Docs automatically underlines links and underlining isn't allowed in Contentful. Select the text and press 'Cmd+U' (or 'Ctrl+U' on Windows) to remove the underline. This should fix the issue.
