Citizens Advice Camden is a respected charity with over 85 years’ experience providing free, independent, and impartial information, advice, and casework services tailored to local residents' changing needs. We support vulnerable community members, closely matching local deprivation indices, and adapt our services to emerging advice needs.
We are seeking a dedicated Advice Support Worker for our established family advice service based at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). This service helps families of seriously ill children navigate complex issues such as housing, welfare benefits, and debt.
In this role, you'll provide essential administrative, organisational, and communication support, enabling our advisers to deliver high-quality social welfare advice and casework efficiently. Duties include managing service administration, handling sensitive communications, and organising workflow to support smooth operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong administrative experience, preferably within the advice or charity sector, and knowledge of welfare benefits, housing, or similar issues. Excellent IT, organisational, and communication skills are crucial, alongside a sensitive and client-focused approach suitable for a hospital environment. You must be capable of working independently and collaboratively within a small, supportive team.
This hybrid role requires regular on-site presence at GOSH, meeting honorary hospital staff criteria, passing an enhanced DBS check, and completing mandatory training.
If you are passionate about positively impacting people's lives and thrive in a rewarding, client-focused environment, we would love to hear from you.
