Due to exciting new business growth, Citizens Advice Dudley & Wolverhampton is seeking a Welfare Benefits Caseworker Queen Elizabeth Hospital to join our dedicated team. We provide comprehensive information, advice and guidance to individuals in need and we are expanding our team to meet the growing demand for our services and new ways of working. This role requires an enhanced DBS

Main Job Purpose

  • To provide a comprehensive and confidential specialist Welfare Benefits service for patients referred from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. These individuals are patients experiencing trauma (two or more life-changing or life- threatening injuries)
  • To contribute towards the delivery of a comprehensive benefits advice service in line with the requirements of the QE contractual obligations
  • Delivery is integrated within healthcare teams, to provide seamless referral pathway that complement the assessment and care planning process of patients
  • You will need to have the emotional resilience necessary to work empathetically and professionally to support people affected by life changing trauma
