At Citizens Advice Plymouth, the training & development of our people is at the heart of everything we do. Our Learning & Development team is growing, and we are looking for a compassionate, flexible and creative person to fulfil this key role. To be successful in this role, you must enjoy working with people, as most of your time will be spent on delivering training and working directly with learners.

You'll be developing training and learning activities across the organisation to induct new staff & volunteers as well as providing training to address any skills gaps across existing staff & volunteers. You may also be delivering training to external organisations. You'll have an enthusiastic, open & creative approach to learning and accommodate the development needs of staff & volunteers through coaching, mentoring, and direct training sessions.

You will be skilled at making training sessions engaging and fully inclusive, with an understanding of reasonable adjustments, and be able to adapt the medium of delivery to the needs of the situation and the learner(s). You will need to be resilient, adaptable, and able to carry out training on topics such as mental health, safeguarding, and managing suicidal conversations as well as our advice and casework topics, such as debt and energy, housing, immigration, and employment. Prior knowledge of these topics is desirable, but not essential.
