Are you passionate about helping local people get free, independent and good quality advice? Join our friendly, client focussed team and help drive the development of our advice service. Thanks to funding awarded by National Citizens Advice, we are looking for experienced generalist advisers to expand our capacity for remote advice provision. Advice will be given predominantly by phone (at least 60%) with the remainder delivered by email or webchat, and we are expected to achieve 12 contacts per day while maintaining a good level of quality.

  • You will have experience of working within Citizens Advice in an advice-giving capacity or have worked with an advice support organisation supporting clients with advice queries.
  • You will also have experience of working with the public on the phone, strong communication skills, and a good level of IT competence.

Citizens Advice values diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination. We encourage and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. We offer our people as much flexibility and autonomy as possible; we all work in a hybrid way which includes working from home alongside travel to community locations in East Hertfordshire as required.

Every local Citizens Advice is a registered charity. Different application procedures are adopted by individual local Citizens Advice. Contact the relevant one as outlined in the information about this role. You should not send an application form to national Citizens Advice.

All local Citizens Advice produce their own annual report, but you can find out more about the Citizens Advice network or download the latest national Citizens Advice annual report.
