About the role

About the role:

Are you an efficient organiser with a talent for IT, an eye for detail and a friendly phone manner that puts people at ease? If this sounds like you, then perhaps you could be the new lynchpin of our team! This is much more than your average admin role – with a chance to learn a whole host of new skills that will open doors across our entire service.

You’ll work hand-in-hand with the County Service Manager to keep our generalist service running like clockwork. You’ll be the go-to person for both staff and volunteers, ensuring everyone has the administrative support they need. You’ll be based in one of our branches (Blaby, Coalville, Market Harborough or Hinckley) with occasional travel to other Leicestershire locations and the flexibility to work from home* regularly if that suits you.

What we need you to do:

Schedule and manage client appointments, handle email and phone inquiries, and gather client feedback to help us continuously improve.

Oversee our diaries and rosters, manage incoming mail, and handle data entry into our systems.

Manage email accounts, take minutes at meetings and draft letters and templates.

Order supplies, answer phone calls, and help keep our intranet up-to-date.

About you:

You’re comfortable with IT and quick to learn new systems. Experience with Google Workspace and Adobe would be a plus.

You build relationships easily and communicate effectively, whether in person, over the phone, or through email.

You can juggle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

You’re enthusiastic, proactive and always ready to lend a hand.

To apply, please read our staff recruitment pack, full job description and person specification, and application guidance notices.
