About the role
Citizens Advice Tandridge District have an exciting opportunity to join our small friendly advice team as a Training Supervisor, working in our Caterham and Oxted offices.

You will be responsible for:
• Delivering and maintaining the training plan that meets the needs of the organisation, ensuring that we meet our statutory obligations and helps us maintain our quality of advice standards.
● Preparing for and facilitating learning and development activities, such as group and one-to-one learning, to ensure the competence and continuing development of staff and volunteers.
● Reviewing, assessing and updating training pathways for different roles adapting these to individual needs as appropriate and to take account of prior learning and experience
● Coordinating and assessing activities of volunteers and staff and take responsibility for sign off of competence on the Adviser Learning Programme
● Working with the Advice Service Manager, supervisors, fellow learning leads and other outside agencies to provide a supportive learning environment, identifying any resource or training needs.
● Taking an active and leading role in our volunteer recruitment and induction process in conjunction with the Advice Service Manager.
● Maintaining our database of volunteers and learners, thereby enabling informed recruitment, support and training of volunteers and recording of all training activity
● Participating in meetings both internal and external such as the Local Learning Leads forum, to identify good practice and monitor latest developments
● Managing new learning activities and undertaking such other duties as may lie within the scope of this post, and as directed by your line manager
You will:
• Be a trained Training Supervisor/ or knowledgeable generalist adviser/caseworker and/or willing to complete the appropriate training.
• You will need excellent people skills, a flexible approach, an interest in problem solving and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to manage a busy workload.
• We will consider applicants who have experience of working in the advice sector and of managing volunteers.
