Job Vacancy: Trainee Community Advice Worker

Hours: 28.8 Hours a week to be worked over 4 days.

Salary: £28,432 + £2173 (FTE). Rising to £32,227 + £2,173 (FTE) on successful completion of probation period.

What skills are we looking for?

• Effective oral & written communication skills: with emphasis on negotiation, representing and preparing reviews, reports & correspondence.

• Ability to use IT Systems: Word processor, Spreadsheets, Calendars and CRM systems.

• Ability to prioritise own work, meet deadlines and targets, manage caseload, monitor and maintain own standards.

We are seeking a candidate looking to develop a career in advice work who will demonstrate they have the capacity and drive to successfully train to deliver general information and advice, mentor general advice volunteers and to lead outreach sessions.

This is an exciting role training to deliver information and advice, often those at greatest risk of vulnerability, helping them to understand their rights and identify options to move forward with their issues.

The general advice service deals with a broad range of often complex issues including benefits, debt, employment, housing and family problems.
