About the role

To provide support to the Debt Advice Team and answer queries from clients and referral partners.

Requirement to work at any of our local offices, including out of normal office opening hours when required. Pay is on a pro rata basis and number of hours per week is negotiable.

Key work areas and tasks

Administration

• Review and make recommendations for improvements to office services.

• Use IT for statistical recording, record keeping and document production.

• Keep up to date with policies and procedures relevant to Office work and undertake appropriate training.

• Action administration requests from Caseworkers.

Advice giving

• Interview clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills to allow an assessment to explain their problems.

• Advising clients and third-party of the service to allow signposting/referral to appropriate services both internally and externally.

• Ensure that all activities conform to the Office Manual and any Quality Marks.

• Maintain case records for the purpose of continuity of advice, information retrieval, statistical monitoring, and report preparation.
