About the role

We provide free, independent and good quality advice across East Herts. Our team of staff and volunteers work across the district delivering our service in person and remotely.

We are looking for a Finance Officer to oversee the day to day bookkeeping and finance activities at Citizens Advice East Herts.

This critical role involves ensuring that invoices are processed accurately and income is managed in a timely manner and will work closely with the Chief Executive, Treasurer and Citizens Advice Finance Consultant. This is a great opportunity for someone who is numerate, has prior bookkeeping experience and a very good eye for detail.

Flexibility around hours/days worked is needed to provide support to a service currently being delivered Mondays to Thursdays.

We offer our people as much flexibility and autonomy as possible; we all work in a hybrid way which includes working from home alongside travel to community locations in East Hertfordshire as required. This role can be worked mainly from home but with an expectation of 20% of the week attending meetings in the East Herts district.
